ORWP Open Enrollment Period

Start getting ready… the Open Enrollment Period for the Ontario REALTOR® Wellness Program (ORWP) begins on November 18, 2024! This is the insurer-approved period when you are permitted to make changes to your 2025 ORWP coverage, with no medical questions asked.

Here are the important dates to remember for the Open Enrollment Period:

  1. Start date: Monday, November 18, 2024
  2. Closing date: Friday, December 13, 2024

During the Open Enrollment Period, you are permitted to:

  1. Move up or down one coverage level.
    1. For example, if you are currently enrolled in the Standard Plan, you may choose to upgrade to the Enhanced Plan, effective January 1, 2025.
  2. Add or remove an eligible dependent from your ORWP coverage.

If you do not take action to make changes to your coverage during the Open Enrollment Period, your current coverage will automatically be renewed for 2025, provided you pay your OREA Dues to your Member Board no later than December 31, 2024. As this is an automatic process, no action will be required from you if you would like to continue your existing coverage selections into the next coverage period.

What to keep in mind until the Open Enrollment Period begins:

  1. It is important to consider your options carefully to make the best choice for you and your family. Please note that the next opportunity to change your ORWP coverage will be during the Open Enrollment Period in November 2026, or within 31 days of a qualifying life event.
  2. To review your current coverage and the Summary of ORWP Plan Options, log in to your account at ORWP.ca.
  3. OREA, CBS, and the ORWP insurance carriers will host a series of webinars in early November. These hour-long sessions will cover details about your coverage, the upcoming Open Enrollment Period, and will include platform demonstrations to help guide you through the process. You will receive an invitation link from OREA in the coming days.
