May 25, 2023 It's been almost two months since BDAR integrated with TRREB. Below are updated Frequently Asked Questions regarding training, lockboxes, WEBForms®, contacts, and auto-emails. Q: WHERE DO I INPUT MY LISTINGS? New listings need to be input separately on the Toronto MLS® System and the ITSO MLS® System as the two systems do not speak to each other, and it is a requirement of the Toronto MLS® System that the listing be put on their system first. All training sessions will be delivered in-person at the Simcoe County Regional Hub of TRREB (676 Veterans Drive, Barrie). Q: WHICH FRONT-END PLATFORM SHOULD I USE? The trial period for both Matrix™ and REALM™ has been extended to July 17, 2023, giving you seven weeks to decide on your preferred front-end of choice within the Toronto MLS® System. If you have not done so already, register for an upcoming Matrix™ and REALM™ training session to understand the benefits of both platforms and make an informed decision. The square footage requirements on all new residential property listings will also be mandatory as of July 1. Additional fields that have become mandatory within TRREB’s MLS® System include Property Identification Number (PIN) and Room Dimensions. Q: CAN I TRANSFER MY WEBFORMS® TRANSACTIONS? Yes. Transaction kits from your BDAR WEBForms® profile can be transferred over to your TRREB WEBForms® profile by request. Please note, if requested, your transactions will not be preserved in your BDAR WEBForms® profile. To initiate this transfer, please email membership@bdar.ca. SkySlope Forms is an alternative Forms program that is now offered through TRREB as a member benefit. SkySlope makes it easy to find, fill, and sign real estate forms with auto-populating data fields and embedded e-signatures. Due to the e-signature integration, Members are encouraged to use SkySlope for any new listings and transactions. Q: HOW CAN I TRANSFER MY CONTACTS AND AUTO-EMAILS? Contacts Your contacts from the ITSO MLS® System can be bulk exported and then imported into the Toronto MLS® System in either Matrix™ or REALM™ Front-Ends. Read the Exporting and Importing Contacts Guide Here. Auto-Emails Due to the differences in the systems, it’s recommended that you set up new auto-emails in the Toronto MLS® System once you have imported your contact list. Q: HOW CAN MY ASSITANT GAIN ACCESS TO TRREB’s MLS® SYSTEM? If your Non-Licensed Assistant is not already registered with TRREB and you would like them to gain access to Toronto MLS® System, reach out to membership@trreb.ca to obtain the application and receive a quote for pro-rated fees. Q: CAN I STILL ACCESS AND USE THE SENTRILOCK LOCKBOX PROGRAM? Through the terms of the integration, the SentriLock software will continue to be provided to BDAR Legacy Members at no cost. We are actively developing a program for new users to access the SentriLock and SentriKey services and more information on this program will be available soon. BDAR currently has a limited quantity of lockboxes onsite. We will continue to offer our current inventory to Members as quantities last. To monitor the distribution of lockboxes, we will be reviewing the number of assigned lockboxes and active and pending listings per Member before new lockboxes are assigned. In addition, we will also be conducting an audit to uncover any major discrepancies in assigned lockboxes and active/pending listings. A new program for Members to access lockboxes will be implemented in September. Q: WHY SHOULD I RETAIN A DUAL MEMBERSHIP WITH BDAR? A Dual Membership with BDAR provides you continued access to core BDAR services including the ITSO MLS® System and access to other markets where data might not be available on the TRREB MLS® System. Dual Membership gives you access to the largest and second-largest databases in the province, ensuring you and your clients have the most exposure and the most information all at an affordable price of $750 +HST per year. BDAR Members received a complimentary dual membership for April, May and June of 2023. If you choose to retain your dual Membership in BDAR from July 1st 2023, onward, the invoice for pro-rated dues of $378.08+HST will be sent to Members in late May and will be due by June 30, 2023.
